How is a Neck Lift Performed?
Neck lift surgery involves several steps:
Consultation & Planning: Detailed assessment of neck anatomy and patient goals.
Anesthesia: Usually general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation.
Incision & Tissue Adjustment: Incisions are discreetly placed under the chin and behind the ears. Excess skin is removed, and underlying muscles are tightened.
Fat Removal or Repositioning: Liposuction or direct fat excision may be performed to improve contour.
Closing Incisions & Recovery: Sutures are applied, and a compression garment may be used to support healing.
The procedure typically takes 2–3 hours, and patients can often return home the same day.
